Automate

My job on earth is one of a computer programmer. I’ve really enjoyed creating programs that do things according to instructions I’ve written. While it may not seem like an art in the way painting, pottery, and poetry does, it has, for me, been a soul satisfying way to create something from nothing.

While most programming I’ve done has only been virtual in nature, in that the bits and bytes interact solely with a user on the other side of a screen, I bought a Samsung SmartThings hub in 2016 to start tinkering with home automation. I’ve wanted my home to work like the Jetson’s since I first saw that show as a kid in the 80s. I’ll add some videos on home automation soon.
